Redfish and Snook Easy Fishing
Report Date: September 10, 2012
I took my Dad and long time friend Melissa fishing on Saturday. The wind was cranking out of the southwest, so catching our own live bait was out of the question. I decided to use popping corks and live shrimp.
We fished the beginning of the falling tide in the south Marco Island area and scored our first few redfish, snapper, small snook, and more catfish than I cared for. The catfish were hanging real tight to the bushes like snook do so I decided to head south into the Ten Thousand Islands.
We scored some nice redfish down south in the middle islands. I jumped to the back bays before the tide switched and we hooked some snook and snapper there as well.
The water is just starting to cool down and fall is in the air. i think the redfish are going to start to school soon. I just know that fall is going to yield some killer action. Hey Saturday was a very good day and we were fishing with one hand tied behind our backs just taking it easy.
